History of a Psychedelic Butler
Psychedelic Peer Support
Over the last decade, I’ve developed expertise in Psychedelic Peer Support and Psychedelic Stewardship. Through my work as Project Manager of the Zendo Project, I supported the development of community care services, and education through facilitating Psychedelic Peer Support Workshops and Psychedelic Support Services.
This collaborative grassroots organization has become a global leader, providing services at events and festivals around the world including Burning Man, Electric Daisy Carnival, Lightning in a Bottle, and Envision festival as well as at concerts, conferences, and retreats. You can learn more about the Zendo Project on their website.
Empowering the Genius of Community
The true success of the Zendo Project lies with our trip sitters and the guests we support. The Zendo Project created a model with four simple principles of supporting psychedelic challenge and mentored individuals with a passion and gift for compassionate care.
A collective leadership and stewardship from within the community has arisen to, allowing support for those in need and ensuring the highest standards of ethical and compassionate care. I had the great honor of caretaking the beautiful garden that is the Zendo Project and helping to magnetize and distribute necessary resources for this thriving and abundant oasis to be a beacon of compassionate care.
My Personal Psychedelic Crisis
I accidentally stumbled onto this pathway through my own challenging psychedelic experience in 2008. During my first (and only) Ayahuasca Dieta, I experienced a prolonged and pronounced delusional shift of consciousness best described as a mash-up of the movies The Matrix, The Truman Show and Groundhog Day.
Some labeled it a psychotic break or a spiritual emergency, others a kundalini awakening; internally it was a constant shifting of dark and light, lost and found, as the cosmic mission was shown to me in a messianic state: that I alone was responsible to prevent the complete annihilation of reality itself.
Integration is Incorporating Shadows & Failures
With the amazing support of community, time, and integration, I eventually returned to consensus reality. It took a lot of energy, exploration, fluctuations and failures.
In my life ever since, I repay my cosmic debt by supporting others to find a safe way home from challenging emotional and psychedelic experiences.
30 years of Psychedelic Immersion
For nearly 30 years, I’ve use psychedelics for my personal growth, consciousness expansion, spiritual exploration, and emotional intelligence. I use these substances for insights into human perspective and the potential paths we might take as a planet.
Healing our collective trauma and finding purpose through service are themes presented to me in these internal landscapes and passions of mine to bring a better quality of life for all beings on this planet and eventually, to the entire universe.
30 years of Leadership in Community Education
I’ve worked as a leader and trainer within the fields of corporate aerospace, public education, nature mentoring for at-risk teens, wilderness survival, rites of passage, men’s work, tantra, tech support, customer service, event production, permaculture & natural building, and psychedelic support.
I strive to connect good human beings with one another and encourage and model behavior for human beings who are in the process of becoming better to themselves and the world. Because I also need this support to be reminded, reflected, and re-inspired to life the best life I can.
